What Do We Believe?

This is our best summary of what Mildred Bible Chapel's beliefs are founded upon.  If you have any questions please ask us by clicking here or by clicking our "Contact Us" button above.

1.  We believe in the God of the Bible, just as He has revealed himself to us in the scriptures.  We understand that He is one revealed in three persons:  Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.   Deuteronomy 6:4Matthew 28:192 Corinthians 13:14.

2.  God, being the author of scripture, both Old and New Testaments, ensures that His word is infallible and inerrant in the original manuscripts.  Therefore, we believe and trust His word as our final authority for faith and daily living.

3.  We understand by His Word that all men are sinners by nature and practice, and therefore separated from His presence.  All men fall short of His glory and are in need of His redeeming work.

4.  The scriptures teach us that salvation is God's GIFT offered to all by His grace and must be received by faith in the person and work of the Lord Jesus Christ.

5.  We believe in the deity of Jesus Christ, the miraculous incarnation whereby God became man; the Bible teaches that Jesus lived a sinless life, died as a substitution for our sins, was buried and was raised from the dead by the power of God.  Jesus ALONE is our salvation.

6.  We believe that all believers can be assured of God's love and promised eternal life because their salvation is based upon the work and merits of Jesus Christ alone, and not on any effort of man.

7.  We believe in the literal, personal return of our Lord Jesus for His Bride, the Church.  All believers will then live in His presence in heaven for all eternity.

8.  The Scriptures teach that all those rejecting God's offer of grace in the Lord Jesus will be subject to His judgement and banishment from His presence to Hell forever.

9.  We also believe that God is not finished with the nation of Israel.  We reject the teaching of Replacement Theology, that the church has replaced Israel.  We believe in the continuity of God's covenants with the people of Israel according to Jeremiah 31:35-36 and parallel passages.  The promise of God to Abraham of a promised land is part of that covenant promise.  We are seeing many events concerning these covenant promises to Israel coming to fruition in the days we live.  Pray for the peace of Jerusalem, Psalm 122.  Our God is a faithful and just, covenant-keeping God.

10.  Therefore, we at Mildred Bible Chapel urge you to personally believe God's Word and to call on the name of the Lord Jesus and be saved today!! Romans 10:13
